Duane Harlan is the founder and CEO of Safari Holdings, LLC.
Mr. Harlan's educational and industry accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) from California State University, Sacramento, a Real Estate Broker's license in California, and a Real Estate Broker-salesman's license in Nevada. In addition, Mr. Harlan holds a commercial pilot's license with certifications including single-engine aircraft, multi-engine aircraft, seaplanes, high performance aircraft, and high altitude, pressurized cabin aircraft. Mr. Harlan is a volunteer pilot for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
Previous to becoming CEO of Safari Holdings, Mr. Harlan founded Sierra Digital, Inc., a highly successful software company devoted to automating Municipal Government operations. Mr. Harlan grew this company from startup to become the most successful company in an already-crowded industry. By the year 2000, he and his team had signed up over 1,000 cities throughout the United States and Canada to use their software. In 2000, Mr. Harlan merged Sierra Digital with The Active Network, Inc. He participated as one of a handful of individuals running the combined companies and overseeing hundreds of employees.
Mr. Harlan left the Active Network in 2004, and since that time he has focused on property and business opportunity transactions as CEO of Safari Holdings, LLC.
